Our staff receives regular training to make sure they’re completely up-to-date in all medical procedures, CDC guidelines, and related practices such as hygiene and patient safety. Since hygiene is a vital part of patient care, our staff is encouraged to stay home if there are any indications of contagious illness, and they maintain careful standards of cleanliness throughout the entire facility.
Patient Safety
Patient safety is our highest priority at the Hudson Valley Sinus Center. Before any procedure, we are careful to verify patient identity by asking for information such as date of birth in addition to the patient’s name. Before beginning the procedure, we also perform a time-out to be sure that the entire surgical team understands the plan and has all of the necessary equipment to carry out their portion of the procedure. Strict measures to control infection are utilized during all portions of the procedure. This includes correct procedural technique, a pristine environment of care, and careful maintenance of surgical equipment and instruments.
Patient Involvement
We actively encourage all of our patients to play an active role in their own care. Please feel free to ask any questions to anyone involved in our practice. You can be sure that your questions and concerns will be taken seriously and addressed to be sure that you are comfortable with all aspects of your treatment.
